"Hot town, summer in the city....."
It's one of our typical Kansas City summers, hot and nasty. Are we having fun yet? We sure are down at Knuckleheads Saloon! Here's the scoop on all the great acts you can hear this week!

Savoy Brown
Legendary….a blues-rock institution….true innovators….these are just a few of the ways SAVOY BROWN has been described over the past thirty years by the nation's music critics. One of the earliest of British blues bands, SAVOY BROWN (with founder member guitarist Kim Simmonds at the helm) helped launch the 60's UK blues movement that brought blues music back to the USA invigorating and changing the music forever. From the Soho clubs in 1965 to headlining Carnegie Hall Savoy Brown have done it all...as they continue to tour they give a glimpse into the past and also inspire listeners into the new millennium. This Monday night show starts at 8. Don't be late!

The Rumblejetts
Kansas City's favorite rockabilly band will be here once again to light up your Wednesday night. Come on down and dance to the sounds of these guys starting at 7:30 Wednesday night. NO COVER CHARGE!

Curtis Salgado
As always, Curtis Salgado's take on soul music is wide-ranging. His heartfelt approach to the music has won him starring roles as lead singer in bands led by such starts as Robert Cray and Santana. The late John Belushi was so inspired by Curtis that he developed his Blues Brother character after him. Curtis' take on soul is simple. "If a song is sincere and you believe it, that's soul," he says. "To me Pavarotti is as much a soul singer as Otis Redding; Merle Haggard and Hank Williams are soul singers as much as Sam Cooke. Soul is about heart and about belief." Be here at 8:30 Thursday night for a show you won't forget!

Bob Walkenhorst
Like Cameron Crowe’s Almost Famous, The Beginner is Bob Walkenhorst’s love letter to rock’n’roll. Echoes of garage bands learning Beatles songs, lonely boys in rooms with acoustic guitars, two minute blasts of youth over a blown car-radio speaker, are caught in an over-the-shoulder backwards glance, not only at where he has been, but where he is coming from. On The Beginner, Bob Walkenhorst revisits the reasons why he loved music in the first place, and discovers that rock’n’roll is always ready with another chance to start again. Come on down to hear Bob perform live what the critics have raved about!

The Nace Brothers
Kansas City Blues News says:
....What sets The Nace Brothers apart from so many other bands on the road today? It's the soulful, aggressive vocal style of leader David Nace. Brother Jimmy also shares the spotlight, with a guitar that flows with the same soulful emotion. For these reasons and others, the band has found itself catapulted into national status -- all the way from their Warrensburg, Missouri home.
You'll love these Kansas City favorites! Show starts at 7:30.

Chubby Carrier CD RELEASE PARTY!
One word to describe the swampdelic sounds of Chubby Carrier and Bayou Swamp Band? Fun. Pure Louisiana zydeco fun with a hot sauce chaser. Anybody who has doubts about the accordion as an instrument will be swayed the right way with Carrier's passion and fire on the instrument. Come hear the new music and celebrate the release of Chubby's newest CD this Saturday night. Chubby takes the stage at 9PM.

So while the temperature may be sweltering in Kansas City this week, things at Knuckleheads are nothing but COOL! Come on down and support LIVE MUSIC at your favorite blues and honky-tonk bar, Knuckleheads Saloon!
