Guitar Night with Sonny Landreth (Blues)
Mike Zito and Fast Johnny Ricker
“From the Reach,” Sonny Landreth’s ninth album, is the first to be released on his own Landfall label. On it, the Louisiana-based slide guitar wizard does something unprecedented in his body of work, as he collaborates with five of the greatest guitar players on the planet – Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Robben Ford, Eric Johnson and Vince Gill – for some jaw-dropping performances. Also making a house call is legendary New Orleans pianist and singer Dr. John and iconic Gulf Coast troubadour Jimmy Buffett.

Mike Zito /Mike’s soul shines brightly through his sweet bluesy guitar tone, rich vocals, and well crafted songs."
- Aaron Lee (“Stone Blue” on XM’s Bluesville)

From Kansas City, Fast Johnny Ricker is a blazing blues/rock guitarist and slide master, leading a melt-down trio. His style and original music have been described as experimental, combining elements of psychedelic rock with Texas blues and Delta blues traditions.

First off thanks for bringing Sonny Landreth, great entertainer.
Now here are my criticism's.
I get there an hour early to get a decent seat only to find the seats by the stage have been reserved. BS! General admission means just that. I wind up sitting behind the doorman for the first two acts. Your "outside smoking section" had me coughing up a lung. Speaking of the doorman, I see him put up the SOLD OUT sign only to let in more people who had not purchased tickets in advance but were paying at the door. I am sure fire code was exempt that night due to the amount of people there. So I go up to the stage for Sonny's set only to be told to SIT DOWN. So I obliged by sitting on the floor (ouch)for his set. If I was one of your chosen ones I could have had a seat up front. Wished I could have enjoyed the show more. Randy

Randy
first let me say that reserved seats are available to anyone that wants them it's stated on our website so it wasn't my buddy like you think. and the sold out sign was put up because we had several people that we had reserved a ticket for to be paid at the door that is what we do for folks that don't have computers or printers. and as far as a $20 show I have to have a packed house at $20 to pay three high dollar acts just as the ones we had. otherwise I would have to charge $30 ticket
I know you sent a message to the blog I read it, and just had not responded yet it is not or never was our intention for anyone not to have a good time seeing any show here. so our apologizes and hope this shed some light on the reserved seating and sold out sign
thank you for your comments.
Frank
